Double Anniversary at Weyermann®: 40 Years of Sabine Weyermann – 15 Years of Franziska Weyermann

We had double reason to celebrate on past Wednesday afternoon. Sabine Weyermann, president / CEO fourth generation, marked her 40th work anniversary. Her daughter, Franziska Weyermann, vice president fifth generation of management, looked back on 15 years in the family business.

The Weyermann® leadership team surprised the two honorees with a festively decorated reception at the Weyermann® Guest Center. A lovingly designed guest book invited everyone to share personal words and memories. Culinary delights were provided by a tapas catering from Partyservice Ludwig.

Words with Heart and Depth

Thomas Kraus-Weyermann opened the reception with a moving speech to his wife, Sabine Weyermann. He honored her 40 years in the family business as a time full of encounters, decisions, and successes – all marked by her handwriting.

He emphasized her empathy, which she not only knows as a word but lives as an attitude. Thanks to her open ear for employees, customers, and partners worldwide, Weyermann® Malt has become a place where people feel welcome and appreciated.

Courage, innovative strength, and a sense of responsibility were further defining elements of her work. “Without this courage, Weyermann® Malt would not be where it stands today – as a world-renowned name in the brewing and fine food industry,” Thomas Kraus-Weyermann stressed.

He particularly highlighted her warmth and openness, which have built bridges of friendship across the globe. “You have made Weyermann® the pearl of the international malt industry,” he concluded, thanking Sabine Weyermann for her passion, humanity, and resilience.

Words of Thanks from Sabine Weyermann

Sabine Weyermann warmly thanked everyone present. She revealed her “secret” for 40 years of success: surrounding herself with people she enjoys working with, sharing joy, and pursuing common goals.

“My heartfelt thanks go to all of you who have supported my ideas. Without your reliability and loyalty, I could not have achieved this alone,” she emphasized. She underlined the importance of exchanging ideas and growing together and thanked everyone for taking the time to celebrate this special moment.

Congratulations to Franziska Weyermann

Franziska Weyermann also took center stage on this special day. In his speech, Thomas Kraus-Weyermann warmly congratulated his daughter on 15 years in the family business.

He highlighted her solid education as a graduate engineer in brewing and her international experience gained on numerous trips to customers worldwide. “You are open-minded, articulate, and thus the perfect ambassador for Weyermann® across the globe,” he stressed.

Her empathy, sociability, and communication skills are as defining as her thirst for knowledge and ability to listen. “You are the future of Weyermann®,” Thomas Kraus-Weyermann concluded, wishing her many more successful years in the company.

Congratulations from the general plant manager Jürgen Buhrmann

Jürgen Buhrmann also extended heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the entire Weyermann® team. In his speech, he linked the occasion to the corporate vision, which reflects everything Sabine Weyermann and Franziska Weyermann embody: innovative strength, value awareness, and openness.

“40 years of Sabine Weyermann – Weyermann® 4.0, so to speak – and today we are already celebrating Weyermann® 5.0 with Franziska Weyermann,” Jürgen Buhrmann emphasized. Looking back on joint trade fair appearances such as drinktec in munich in september, he praised the partnership and friendliness with which both honorees meet customers, prospects, and distribution partners.

“It is wonderful to have good friends who make the best malt in the world,” he concluded and moved on to the presentation of gifts.

Gifts of Enjoyment and Symbolism

The two honorees were delighted with carefully selected gifts that reflect their achievements and personalities.

Sabine Weyermann received an elegant pearl necklace from her husband, Thomas Kraus-Weyermann and her daughter, Franziska Weyermann – symbolizing Weyermann®’s role as the “pearl” of the international malt industry. With this symbolic gesture, Thomas Kraus-Weyermann honored not only his wife but also her tireless dedication and passion in shaping the company and carrying it out into the world.

On behalf of the entire Weyermann® team, Weyermann® Brewmaster Constantin Förtner and his team from the Weyermann® Brewing Manufacture created a very special commemorative brew for Sabine Weyermann: “Weyermann® No. 40 Maltqueens Malt Drink.” This alcohol-free specialty is far more than a beverage – it is a tribute to 40 years of passion, innovation, and excellence. Crafted from seven selected Weyermann® malt varieties, refined with Weyermann® Sinamar®, orange, and cocoa, this malt drink embodies the diversity and depth of Weyermann® expertise. Its chestnut-brown color, crowned with a creamy foam, and its multi-layered aroma tell the story of four decades of lived malt competence.

This special gift was complemented by an IHK honorary certificate, a handwritten Weyermann® certificate, an engraved Weyermann® Krüchla, a red-and-yellow bouquet in the company colors, as well as handcrafted earrings and decorative cushions from the Weyermann® Shop Living & Drinking.

Franziska Weyermann received, as a creative highlight, an alcohol-free Weyerol® specially developed for her by Weyermann® Master Distiller Philipp Schwarz and his team from the Weyermann® Distillery on behalf of all employees. This unique creation is inspired by Franziska Weyermann’s fondness for the Italian aperitif Crodino and combines the art of distillation with the innovative strength of the Weyermann® Brewing Manufacture. With great attention to detail, a drink was created that not only delights the palate but also reflects the company’s values: creativity, team spirit, and the joy of indulgence.

Franziska Weyermann also received a series of special gifts: a handwritten Weyermann® certificate, an engraved Weyermann® Krüchla, a voucher for the Weyermann® Shop Living & Drinking, a red-and-yellow bouquet, as well as handcrafted earrings and a cozy blanket from the Weyermann® Shop Living & Drinking.

Closing of the Celebration

After the congratulations, everyone raised a toast to the two honorees. The celebration continued into the afternoon with lively conversations and a warm atmosphere.

A heartfelt thank-you goes to the organizing team, the catering service, and everyone involved for the excellent preparation and success of this special anniversary celebration.
