Farewell of AG Prießnitz Managing Director Bodo Zier & Farm Party AG Prießnitz

The Agricultural Society Prießnitz is our long-term supply partner (since 1991!) who exclusively grows high-quality brewing grains – barley and wheat – for Weyermann®.

The beginnings of the cooperation between Weyermann® and AG Prießnitz were shaped by our then managing director Ludwig Popp. A strong bond developed between the companies, which has endured to this day.

AG Prießnitz Managing Director Bodo Zier now invited his close business partners and companions to his official retirement party, which was attended by Ludwig Popp and Aishagul Schleicher, Weyermann® Raw Materials Purchasing Department Manager.

After a warm welcome and a delicious breakfast, Bodo Zier took the floor and thanked everyone for their many years of loyalty and cooperation. He looked forward to his future role as “Feel Good Manager” for AG Prießnitz. After a tour of the Prießnitz grain fields in the Naumburg and Freyburg countryside, the successful day found a pleasant ending with a wine tasting and a hearty lunch.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Bodo Zier for the wonderful cooperation over the years and wish him a peaceful retirement!

The company successor to AG Prießnitz is Bodo Zier’s son, Dr. Patrick Zier, who forms a strong duo together with Andreas Baum (active in the group of companies for 17 years). With this, we can look forward to continuing our successful cooperation in the future!

Shortly after the celebrations for Bodo Zier’s retirement we strengthened our red and yellow bond with Prießnitz AG at their traditional farm party on Saturday afternoon.

In addition to the usual supporting program, such as a visit to the biogas plant and field trips, the Prießnitz AG team gladly answered all questions their guests had about the company.

Our two Weyermann® ambassadors Jens Hell and Stefanie Augner were on-site with our Weyermann® Landrover to offer the guests a welcome refreshment with a selection of nice and cold Weyermann® brewing specialties.
