Weyermann® Women’s Brewing Day 2026 – Tasting of Weyermann® No. 54 – Ick bin Himbeere
On May 7, 2026, the tasting of this year’s Women’s Brewing Day beer took place at the Weyermann® Visitors Center: Weyermann® No. 54 – Ick bin Himbeere.
Together with the female employees who had brewed the batch around International Women’s Day at the Weyermann® Brewing Manufacture, as well as representatives of the Bamberg Women’s Shelter, we enjoyed a delightful afternoon in the familiar wonderful atmosphere.
The tasting marked the festive conclusion of Women’s Brewing Day 2026. The collaboratively brewed beer was presented under the expert guidance of Weyermann® Brewmaster Constantin Förtner.
A beer for a good cause
Since 2016, Weyermann® Women’s Brewing Day has been a firmly established date in our calendar. To mark International Women’s Day, Weyermann® female employees brew a special beer together each year, with the entire sales proceeds going to the Bamberg Women’s Shelter.
In 2026, this initiative once again stands for appreciation, connection and a strong sign for women in our region.
The exchange with the representatives of the Women’s Shelter once again showed how valuable this long-standing connection is and what significance the work of the Women’s Shelter has for women and children in Bamberg.
Weyermann® No. 54 – Ick bin Himbeere
At the heart of the afternoon was Weyermann® No. 54 – Ick bin Himbeere – a summery beverage in the style of a Berliner Weisse with fruit.
With 3.8% alcohol, mild tart freshness, a fine raspberry note and a pink foam crown, this beer creation presents itself as a light delight for warm days. The base is formed by Weyermann® Premium Pilsner Malt, Weyermann® CARAHELL®, Weyermann® Pale Wheat Malt and Weyermann® Acidulated Malt. Callista hops and freshly puréed raspberries round off the flavor profile in a fruity and harmonious way.
Sensory guidance by Constantin Förtner
Constantin Förtner guided the tasters through the sensory impressions of the beer. Color, foam, aroma and flavor were examined together and described with expert knowledge.
The mild tart freshness, the fine raspberry fruit and the soft mouthfeel were at the center of the tasting. The participants gained an excellent insight into the finished result of their collaborative brewing day and were able to consciously retrace the journey from the brew to the glass.
Delightful atmosphere at the Weyermann® Visitors Center
Once again this year, the Weyermann® Visitors Center provided the festive setting for the tasting. In a pleasant atmosphere, participants from various departments engaged in conversation and raised their glasses together to the successful result of Women’s Brewing Day 2026.
The tasting was accompanied by a fine food pairing: This included beetroot tartare with raspberries, the Weyermann® Malzschnitte and further selected delicacies. The dishes harmoniously reflected the fruity-fresh aroma profile of Weyermann® No. 54 – Ick bin Himbeere and rounded off the delightful afternoon at the Weyermann® Visitors Center.
Weyermann® No. 54 – Ick bin Himbeere is available at the Weyermann® Shop Living & Drinking and in our online shop.
With every beer sold, the entire proceeds once again go to the Bamberg Women’s Shelter. In this way, Weyermann® Women’s Brewing Day once again combines brewing craftsmanship, community and social commitment in a special way this year.
We thank all Weyermann® female employees who helped shape Women’s Brewing Day 2026, as well as everyone involved in the tasting. This gathering shows anew each year how strongly joint action takes effect and how valuable the red and yellow bond within our company is.
