From Spring to Malt: The New Water House in Haßfurt

Just in time for the awakening of spring, we have taken a major step towards the future in Haßfurt: As part of the comprehensive modernization of our well water treatment, a new water house has been constructed.

This state-of-the-art building houses all our water treatment facilities, equipped with the latest technology. Here, our well water is treated with care and efficiency to meet the highest quality standards.

After treatment, the water is stored in specially designed stainless steel tanks. From there, it is available as so-called soft water for our production processes—a key factor in ensuring the consistently high product quality of our malts.

With this investment, we are saying goodbye to our previous water treatment and storage system, which served us for around 50 years. The new water house marks a significant milestone for Weyermann® Malz and ensures a reliable and sustainable water supply for the future.
