Malt and Brewing Art United – Insight into the WBA “Master Brewer Program”

As part of the renowned “Master Brewer Program” of the World Brewing Academy (WBA), our Weyermann® International Malting & Brewing Expert, Fedor Nikolashkin, conducted an exciting and educational seminar centered on the world of Weyermann® Specialty Malts.

Fedor Nikolashkin’s seminar focused on the unique characteristics and versatile applications of our specialty malts. With in-depth expertise and great enthusiasm, he demonstrated how different types of malt influence a beer’s flavor, color, and body. A particular highlight of the event was the tasting session that followed: together with the participants, Fedor Nikolashkin explored the sensory diversity of Weyermann® malts – both in their pure form and in finished beers – creating an experience that was as informative as it was enjoyable.

The World Brewing Academy is an international collaboration between the Doemens Academy in Munich and the Siebel Institute of Technology in Chicago. Since 2001, it has been internationally recognized and offers programs of varying lengths and focuses, including the WBA International Diploma in Brewing Technology and the advanced WBA Master Brewer Program. Classes are held at both locations, enabling an intensive exchange of practical and theoretical knowledge among participants from around the world.
