Weyermann® at the German Brewmasters’ Convention 2026 in Magdeburg
Ulrich Ferstl, Weyermann® Head of D A CH & Head of Food Division, Axel Jany and Fedor Nikolashkin, both Weyermann® International Malting & Brewing Experts, and Constantin Förtner, Weyermann® Brewmaster, traveled to Magdeburg in early June as Weyermann® ambassadors to represent our company at the German Brewmasters’ Convention 2026.
The event, organized by the German Brewmasters’ and Maltsters’ Association (DBMB e.V.), took place from June 5 to 7, 2026, in the city of Magdeburg. Under the motto “From Otto the Great to the Masters of Beer,” numerous brewers, maltsters, industry partners and accompanying persons came together.
With around 480 expected participants, the German Brewmasters’ Convention 2026 counted among the key events of the German-speaking brewing and malting industry. The program combined professional exchange, cultural impressions, shared activities and festive evening events.
During the networking event, our Weyermann® ambassadors engaged in personal conversations with industry colleagues, partners and members of the DBMB. The focus included current developments in the brewing industry, raw material quality, malt selection and reliable partnerships.
The historic setting of Magdeburg provided a fitting backdrop and connected history, brewing culture and forward-looking technical topics in a distinctive way.
We extend our sincere thanks to Ulrich Ferstl, Axel Jany, Fedor Nikolashkin and Constantin Förtner for their commitment as Weyermann® ambassadors in Magdeburg. Our gratitude also goes to the German Brewmasters’ and Maltsters’ Association (DBMB e.V.) and the Saxony-Anhalt regional group for the successful organization of the German Brewmasters’ Convention 2026.
