Weyermann® Malts has been a convinced member of the association Slow Food® Germany for 13 years now.
Slow Food® is committed to a culture of eating that is based on appreciation, responsibility and enjoyment worldwide.
Internationally, the association is active in 170 countires with different projects, campaigns and events.
Thus Slow Food® promotes small-scale agriculture, artisanal fishing and food production in harmony with our ecosystems, animal welfare, the revitalization of rural regions and our cultural traditions.
Nutrition and taste development trainings are offered for children, young adults and adults, as well as training programs for young professionals from the catering, agriculture and food industries. Thereby producers of artisanal foods are brought together with conscious consumers (co-producers).
Public discussions with actors along the food value chain are intended to open up ways for food production within the framework of planetary boundaries.
