Alirio Caldera at Brasil Brau 2026 in São Paulo

Alirio Caldera, Weyermann® International Malting & Brewing Expert, traveled to Brazil in June as a Weyermann® ambassador to represent Weyermann® at Brasil Brau 2026 in São Paulo.

The international trade fair took place from June 9 to 11, 2026, at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center and is considered one of the key events for the brewing and beverage industry in Latin America. Numerous brewers, raw material experts, technology providers, and industry partners gathered in São Paulo to exchange insights on current developments, products, and technologies along the beer production value chain.

Brasil Brau is regarded as a central professional platform for the brewing market in Latin America. Since the 1980s, it has brought together national and international industry stakeholders, combining a trade exhibition, conference program, technical content, and personal exchange within a diverse framework.

Weyermann® was present with a booth together with our valued distribution partner for Brazil, Cooperativa Agrária Agroindustrial.

During the event, Alirio Caldera engaged in numerous discussions with brewers, customers, and industry partners on topics such as raw material quality, malt selection, sensory profiles, and the diverse applications of Weyermann® specialty malts.

The focus was on practical aspects of recipe development, the flavor expression of modern and traditional beer styles, and the importance of high-quality malts for achieving consistent and distinctive beer profiles.

With its international scope, technical program, and strong presence of the Latin American brewing community, Brasil Brau provided a valuable environment for direct dialogue and fresh inspiration.

Before and after the trade fair, Alirio Caldera also spent time visiting customers in Brazil. These discussions offered valuable opportunities to strengthen existing business relationships, address technical topics directly, and gather new ideas for further collaboration.

The personal exchange at the joint booth with Agraria, as well as during customer visits, once again demonstrated the strong interest of the Brazilian brewing community in high-quality raw materials, technical expertise, and reliable partnership.

We sincerely thank Alirio Caldera for his commitment on site. We also extend our gratitude to our valued distribution partner Agraria for the trustful collaboration.

Weyermann® looks forward to continuing to support the Brazilian brewing community with specialty malts, expertise, and strong partnership.
