Weyermann® on Tour: Veronique Neldner at the Lyon Bière Festival 2026

At the end of April, Veronique Neldner travelled to France as a Weyermann® Ambassador to attend the Lyon Bière Festival 2026 and subsequently visit customers in the region in person.

The 9th edition of the festival took place on April 24 and 25, 2026, under the motto “Malt Attacks” at Double Mixte in Villeurbanne.

The Lyon Bière Festival brought together numerous breweries, trade visitors and beer enthusiasts, offering a lively insight into the French and international craft beer scene.

The programme combined tastings, opportunities for exchange, food trucks, musical contributions and a broad selection of participating breweries.

The strong presence of national and international breweries in particular showed how diverse and dynamic the craft beer culture in France continues to be.

For Veronique Neldner, the festival provided a fitting setting to speak with brewers, distributors and industry partners about raw material quality, sensory profiles and current developments in the brewing sector.

The focus was on the many possible applications of Weyermann® specialty malts in modern beer styles, as well as the importance of high-quality raw materials for characterful recipes.

Following the festival, Veronique Neldner used the trip for personal customer visits in the region.

These conversations provided valuable opportunities to deepen existing relationships and gather new inspiration for future joint projects.

The Lyon Bière Festival 2026 once again highlighted how closely creativity and artisanal brewing culture are connected within the French beer scene.

The open atmosphere and the strong interest in high-quality raw materials offered a valuable framework for exchange with the regional and international brewing community.
