In the Footsteps of the Prince-Bishops: Weyermann® Academy at Schloss Seehof
On May 21, 2025, Weyermann® employees from various departments, together with their partners, had the opportunity to enjoy a special experience outside the red and yellow Weyermann® world: an exclusive guided tour of the magnificent Schloss Seehof just outside Bamberg.
A Glimpse into Princely History
Under the expert guidance of Ms. Dina Schmid, participants explored the splendid palace complex, featuring impressive cascades in the well-kept palace gardens and the meticulously restored state rooms of the castle. Particularly fascinating was the White Hall in the west wing, whose ceiling was artistically decorated by the renowned court painter Giuseppe Appiani. The ceiling fresco, depicting a celestial scene with allegories of hunting and courtly pleasures, offered an impressive insight into the world of the prince-bishops. The fact that furniture from Schloss Seehof is now on display at the Metropolitan Museum in New York also sparked amazement.
A Warm Conclusion at Brauerei Gasthof Höhn
After the inspiring tour, the evening concluded in a convivial atmosphere with Franconian hospitality at Brauerei Gasthof Höhn. Here, everyone was able to reflect on the day’s impressions in a relaxed setting.
Thanks to All Involved
Special thanks go to Ms. Dina Schmid for her engaging and insightful tour, to the team at Gasthof Höhn for their warm hospitality, and to the Weyermann® management for their generous invitation to this special event.
