Highest award for the Weyermann® brew manufacture in Bamberg

The team of the Weyermann® brew manufacture received double gold at the competition Frankfurt International Beer Trophy.

Top marks and thus the highest award in the form of “Großes Gold” (Grand Gold) were given to our Weyermann® Nr. 34 Rauchbier Bock and the Weyermann® Nr. 30 Jürgen’s gereifte Weizheit.

Our Weyermann® Nr. 30 Jürgen’s gereifte Weizheit, a barrel-aged wheat bock, convinces with its well-balanced mixture of fruity and herbal-spicy but still low-key hop aromas. A touch of bananas, cloves and leathery cedar wood over a background of fresh, harmonic malty sweetness and delicate tartaric acid round off this unique composition in the most wonderful way.

The Weyermann® Nr. 34 Rauchbier Bock impresses with a pleasant mixture of intense smoky notes and fruity hop aromas. Despite its warming 7.2 percent alcohol content, this strong beer specialty has a very silky body and a lean aftertaste, which makes it surprisingly palatable.

The Frankfurt International Trophy is an international competition for wines, beers and spirits. On its 6th edition, more than 4100 products from 50 countries were submitted. In total, 1309 wines, beers and spirits were awarded with the popular medals. The evaluation was carried out by an international jury of experts and connoisseurs of the industry as well as experienced amateurs who represent the consumer.

We are very proud of this well-deserved success of our brew master Constantin Förtner and his team! At the same time we also congratulate all our customers, who are also among the winners of the competition!
