Weyermann® on Tour: BeerX 2026 in Liverpool
BeerX 2026, organised by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA), is regarded as one of the most important industry gatherings in the United Kingdom. On March 18 and 19, the British brewing community met at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool to exchange insights on current trends, technical innovations, and future developments within the sector.
Weyermann® was represented by Axel Jany, International Malting & Brewing Expert, and John Middleton, Weyermann® Representative UK, who welcomed visitors at the red‑and‑yellow Weyermann® area within the large joint stand of our valued UK distribution partner Charles Faram.
BeerX is known as a key forum for specialist knowledge, professional encounters, and technical advancement. A diverse programme of seminars, presentations, and panel discussions offered valuable impulses on topics such as brewing technology, market developments, sustainability, and strategic business approaches. Many highly regarded voices from across the UK beer landscape enriched the event with their expertise.
In addition to the extensive conference programme, the large exhibition hall provided a comprehensive overview of products and services from across the brewing supply chain. Breweries, raw material suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and service providers presented their innovations and engaged in detailed conversations with visitors. The Weyermann® stand served as a central meeting point for discussions about specialty malts, recipe development, and sensory potential.
Another highlight of BeerX 2026 were the award ceremonies for the Indie Beer Awards and the SIBA Business Awards. Both formats honour outstanding brewing achievements, innovation, and entrepreneurial strength within the independent UK brewing community. The festive atmosphere of the evening events created a welcoming setting for meaningful conversations and new professional connections.
We extend our sincere thanks to SIBA for an excellently organised event and to all visitors for their great interest in our specialty malts.
Our special thanks go to Axel Jany and John Middleton for their dedicated work on site.
We look forward to continuing to support the UK brewing scene with expertise, quality, and strong partnerships.
