5th Weyermann® Team Bonding in Dürrwies – Growing Together, Enjoying Together

From September 12 to 14, 2025, the 5th Weyermann® Team Bonding took place at the historic Waldferiendorf Dürrwies® in the Bavarian Forest. This unique holiday village, owned by the Weyermann family, is a place full of charm: historic houses surrounded by nature invite guests to slow down and connect.

Here, the Weyermann family welcomes employees and international distribution partners to strengthen existing relationships and develop new ideas in a warm, family-like atmosphere – just ahead of drinktec in Munich.

In total, more than 80 participants came together: a strong Weyermann® team of over 30 employees and 51 distribution partners from 27 countries – from Argentina to India, from Norway to Brazil. This diversity turned the weekend into an international hub of inspiration and exchange – the perfect prelude to drinktec in Munich.

A Weekend of Connection

The excitement was palpable from the warm welcome on Friday. After settling into the cozy historic houses, guests gathered for a traditional Bavarian lunch. In the evening, a festive barbecue created the perfect setting for lively conversations: alongside bratwurst, steaks, fish, and cheese from the grill, guests enjoyed freshly baked Sengzelten – a Bavarian specialty made from rye dough, topped with sour cream and fresh herbs, baked in the historic Weyermann® wood-fired oven.

The Bischofsmais Schuhplattler dancers brought Bavarian traditions to life. Young and old shared the stage, and the highlight: our distribution partners had the chance to join in and try the traditional dance themselves – a moment filled with laughter, movement, and cultural exchange.

Throughout the weekend, the team from the Weyermann® Brewery and Distillery served a selection of draft beers, refreshing Weyerol® Spritz, the new Weyermann® Let the Sun Gin, and a variety of non-alcoholic options – all stylishly presented from the iconic Weyermann® Land Rover. These drinks perfectly complemented the many inspiring conversations of the weekend.

Sharing Knowledge – Celebrating Partnerships

Saturday was dedicated to dialogue and learning. During the Distribution Partner Seminar at the Dürrwies Forsthof, guests gained exciting insights into current developments and future strategies at Weyermann®. Topics included investments, crop reports, and the company’s vision, followed by innovations such as the new malt flour mill, applications for malt flour, and the versatile uses of classics like SINAMAR®. Success stories like the 10th anniversary of Eraclea and the revival of heritage varieties such as Isaria 1924® were also in the spotlight.

A particularly meaningful moment was the presentation of anniversary gifts – symbols of the bridges Weyermann® has built across the globe and the trusted partnerships that have flourished over the years. This tradition highlights the importance we place on sustainable relationships and mutual appreciation.

The afternoon offered a variety of activities: carriage rides, scenic hikes, or relaxation in the sauna or by the pool – all accompanied by engaging conversations. The evening culminated in the Spanferkel Parade, led by Thomas Kraus-Weyermann – a culinary highlight that brought everyone together. For our vegetarian guests, Chili Sin Carne was served – a treat for all!

Farewell with Anticipation

Sunday began with a hearty brunch at the Dürrwies Forsthof and a group hike – a welcome bit of movement after the weekend’s many culinary delights. The grand finale was a Brazilian Churrasco – a traditional South American grilling experience. For many, a new favorite: grilled pineapple with cinnamon and sugar, an irresistible pairing. Lovingly prepared by our Brazilian team, this feast symbolized the international diversity and team spirit that defined the weekend.

For many participants, the journey continued straight to Munich for drinktec, the world’s leading trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry. This made the weekend not only a place for exchange but also the perfect kickoff for one of the most important industry events of the year.
