Weyermann® Internal: SMETA Pillar 4 Ethics Audit Successfully Completed

Wonderful news from our Quality Management Department:

We have successfully completed this year’s SMETA Pillar 4 Ethics Audit / SGP Ethics Audit.

As a member of Sedex, an organization that promotes ethically sustainable supply chains, Weyermann® regularly undergoes SMETA audits.

During these audits, auditors review the implementation of labor standards, occupational health and safety measures, environmental and sustainability practices, as well as aspects of business ethics.

Last week, Auditor Mr. Langelage from SGS Germany visited our site in Bamberg.

He assessed various areas according to the comprehensive SMETA 4-Pillar criteria: labor standards, health and safety, extended environmental assessment, and business ethics.

In the final meeting, he highlighted the wide range of offerings that support the physical and mental well-being of all Weyermann® employees.

They prepared the audit with great care, accompanied it throughout, and supported it during the interviews.
