Weyermann® on Tour: Brew Asia in Bangkok – Networking, Innovation, and Malt Expertise

In October, our Weyermann® ambassadors Axel Jany and Monika Schmitt attended Brew Asia in Bangkok. At the newly designed booth #D5, featuring a strong Weyermann® brand identity, they showcased the diversity and quality of our Weyermann® specialty malts and brought the Weyermann® spirit directly to brewing professionals and beer enthusiasts from across Asia. They were supported at the booth by Palrapii Mint Tongkam, owner of our Thai distribution partner, Rowatthai Co., Ltd.

Brew Asia is the leading trade fair for the brewing and beverage industry in Southeast Asia. Spanning 4,000 m², the event featured over 100 exhibitors presenting their products – from raw materials and brewing equipment to packaging and dispensing systems. This made the fair a comprehensive platform for innovations and solutions in the brewing world.

Under the motto “Optimize, Innovate & Grow,” this year’s focus was on efficiency in the brewing process, raw material and technology innovations, as well as marketing and distribution. More than 25 workshops, technical studies, and panel discussions provided valuable insights into brewhouse operations, raw ingredients, and the business of beer.

In addition to presenting our malt expertise, Axel Jany and Monika Schmitt took the opportunity to meet with long-standing distribution partners and engage in intensive networking. Numerous conversations allowed for the exchange of ideas, deepening of collaborations, and establishment of new contacts – an important step in strengthening the Weyermann® spirit within Asia’s brewing scene.

On the second day of the fair, the winners of the 2025 Asia Beer Championship were announced. We congratulate all winners and are delighted that Weyermann® malt finds its way into so many beers within the Asian brewing community.
