Weyermann® on Tour: Jörn Petersen at the Vocational School Center for Agriculture and Nutrition in Dresden
Jörn Petersen, Weyermann® Customer Consultant for Northern Germany as well as certified brewmaster and beer sommelier, visited the Vocational School Center for Agriculture and Nutrition in Dresden, where he gave a specialist lecture to two first-year brewer classes.
The focus of his presentation was the production of Weyermann® specialty malts, their diverse applications, and their influence on beer color and beer aroma.
In addition, he presented various malt products and provided insights into current developments within the industry.
For the approximately 35 students in attendance, this practical lecture offered valuable preparation for their midterm examination, in which the topic of malt plays a central role.
The open professional exchange highlighted the strong interest of the aspiring brewers.
Our sincere thanks go to the teaching team around Marcus Müller for the invitation and the excellent cooperation.
We are pleased to support the practice-oriented education in Dresden with our malts.
Our conclusion: This direct exchange of knowledge and experience enriches vocational training.
We would very much welcome a continuation next year.
