The exchange among former vocational students has been a firmly established part of Munich’s brewing and hospitality scene for many years.

In 2026, numerous graduates of the Municipal Vocational School for the Hotel, Hospitality and Brewing Trades Munich once again came together to nurture their connection to the industry and to each other.

On Friday, January 16, 2026, the Augustiner Bräustüberl once again filled with familiar faces and new conversation partners.

Participants used the opportunity to discuss personal career paths, current developments in the brewing sector, and the dynamics of the hospitality environment.

The open atmosphere made the evening a vibrant meeting point for shared learning and networking.

This year, Jörn Petersen, Customer Consultant Northern Germany, attended the event as a Weyermann® ambassador.

He engaged in numerous conversations, established new contacts and was delighted by the strong identification many alumni expressed with our red and yellow world.

Weyermann® Malts once again supported the gathering with a generous donation of 600 liters of beer, enriching the evening and underscoring the long-standing partnership between our traditional family business and the vocational school.

This connection is important to us: We regularly open our doors to aspiring brewers and maltsters, who gain practical insights into the production of our specialty malts during their visits.

It is a pleasure to see how many of the former students are now active as dedicated professionals and loyal Weyermann® customers – and how consistent the exchange has remained over the years.
