Weyermann® on Tour: Polish Craft Beer Competition 2025

Our Weyermann® International Malting & Brewing Expert Fedor Nikolashkin served as a judge at the Polish Craft Beer Competition 2025 in Kraków in December. This competition is one of the most significant events in the Polish craft beer scene, bringing together brewers from across the country to have their creations evaluated by an international panel of experts.

The 18th edition of the competition set a new record: 920 beers submitted by 115 breweries, competing in 68 categories. The beers were assessed by an international team of experienced, certified beer judges from countries including Argentina, Belgium, Poland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Chile, Japan, Germany, and the USA. Evaluation criteria included aroma, flavor, balance, and adherence to style.

The event has been organized since 2007 by Browamator, one of Poland’s leading suppliers of raw materials and equipment for beer production and a valued distribution partner of Weyermann®. The competition promotes professional exchange and strengthens international networking within the craft beer community. As a sponsor of the special awards, Weyermann® emphasizes its close connection to the Polish brewing scene.

We are delighted that Weyermann®, through the participation of Fedor Nikolashkin, was able to contribute to the ongoing development of Polish craft beer culture. Congratulations to all the winners of the competition!
