18th Weyermann® Vintage Car Event
More than 400 historic vehicles found a place to shine in and around the listed Weyermann® site, when the day of the annual vintage car meeting in Bamberg had come.
The fans of vintage cars had already gathered at the specialty malts manufacture in the afternoon and were excited to share their passion for historic two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles with like-minded people.
Mr. Hary from France travelled the longest distance this year. He drove 430 kilometers with his Citroen CX 20, built in 1983, in order to attend the event. A vintage car lover from Michelau brought the oldest model with a Ford Model A, built in 1930. The Packard Business Coupé, built in 1936, owned by Mr. Schmidt from Bad Rodach, was also among the oldest vehicles on display.
** The best vintage car event **
The vintage car fans knew plenty of reasons why it was worth travelling to this event in Bamberg every year.
"You can see a lot of vintage cars with a Bamberg license plate, which you otherwise do not see in Bamberg all year round!" said a guest from Memmelsdorf, owner of a Chevrolet Camaro, built in 1979.
"It´s just the most beautiful vintage car event! The ambience of Weyermann® is absolutely unique! ", said a delighted visitor from Frensdorf, who came in his BMW 2000 CS, built in 1967.
Mr. Tölzer from Schweinfurt agreed and titled the get-together of the vintage car scene at Weyermann® Malts as his "absolute favorite event in the whole year!" He visited the event for the 6th time and was one of the first to enter our historic site with his Porsche 911 SC. built in 1979.
** Guest since the very first Weyermann® Vintage Car Event **
Mr. Schröder from Eltmann has been coming to this event ever since the first Weyermann® Vintage Car Event was held. It is the "historic and unique ambiance", which in combination with the vintage cars makes everything look "so cool", that attracts him to come to Weyermann® Malts every year on the first Tuesday in July. This time, he proudly presented his Chevrolet Camaro, built in 1977, which he has owned for 11 years.
** It’s all about the mixture **
Mr. Hauser from the district of Regensburg came along with his Citroen DS 21 Pallas, built in 1986. Why he repeatedly visited our highlight event? "The colorful mixture of different vehicles is simply beautiful and the building stock is fantastic." With a view to our listed brick buildings he added: “You don´t find it often that someone keeps it that way and carefully modernizes it. It is a cultural monument. It is also worthwhile to come here without a vintage car and to just look at the buildings."
** Weyermann® team performance is the key to the success of the event **
With the sun shining bright countless visitors from near and far were happily strolling across the Weyermann® premises and enjoying the sight of the many noble cars, which were on display in all colors and shapes.
While the beers of our Bamberger Hofbräu® line were up for tasting at the Weyermann® Craft Beer Fan Shop, visitors were welcome to linger in the Weyermann® beer garden until late on a warm summer night.
Bratwurst and Weyermann® Schlotfegerla® as well as Bamberger Hofbräu® Pils, which was served in special Bamberger Hofbräu® glasses, ensured the culinary well-being of the visitors.
All Weyermann® beer specialties inclusive all six beers of the Bamberger Hofbräu® line as well as many merchandise articles are available at the Weyermann® Craft Beer Fan Shop.
100 employees and helpers showed off awesome teamwork and offered all visitors an unforgettable experience at the 18th Weyermann® Vintage Car Event thanks to perfect organization and preparation.
