Over 100 medals for Weyermann® customers at this year´s European Beer Star

What a great success for our Weyermann® customers at this year’s European Beer Star. Over 100 (!) of the in total 180 gold, silver and bronze medals went to Weyermann® customers from all around the world – congratulations!
In the 14th edition of the European Beer Star, one of the most important beer competitions in the world, a total of 2,151 beers from 46 countries were submitted - an all-time record!
The competition is aimed at breweries from all over the world, who are committed to the traditional European brewing tradition. The beers, which are special, authentic, convince by their taste and fulfil the variety criteria best are awarded.
In a two-day blind tasting round, the 133-strong international jury from 26 countries determined the winners (gold, silver and bronze) in a total of 60 categories. 39,5% of the beers were submitted from Germany, 60,5% from countries such as Columbia, Myanmar, Taiwan, Namibia or Moldavia.
A considerable number of these medals went to German breweries this year leading the medals table with 21 golds, 25 silvers and 21 bronzes. Congratulations to all our German Weyermann® customers and representative to our customers here in beautiful Upper Franconia, brewery Kundmüller in Viereth, breweries Greif and Neder in Forchheim, brewery Wagner in Merkendorf, Staffelberg-Bräu in Bad Staffelstein, brewery Rittmayer in Hallerndorf and Thuisbrunner Elchbräu in Gräfenberg.
