Weyermann® Malts sponsors homebrewers competition in Romania

On January 30th 2016, the Romanian Homebrewing Association hosted the first competition for homebrewers in Bucharest, Romania, and Weyermann®Malts was a sponsor of the event.
Laurentiu Lancu, purchasing manager of the company Brico Ideea SRL - a direct Weyermann® customer - founded the Romanian Homebrewing Association with the aim of promoting the hobby brewers scene in Romania in this way. Gladly, the world market leader regarding specialty malts contributed to this competition – since 95% of all beers of Romanian homebrewers are brewed with specialty malts from Weyermann® Malts!
The competition was a big success: 89 beers and nine different beer styles were presented by homebrewers in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldavia! In addition to a certificate and small value prizes the winners were happy to recieve a Weyermann® cap and a 5kg Weyermann® malt bag for their next brew! We are delighted that the first competition for homebrewers in Romania was such a great success and wish all continued „happy brewing” with Weyermann® Malts!
