Craft Baker Friedrich Rauh honors head maltster Josef Gimmer

Attentive Weyermann® employees have certainly already noticed it: the big "G" on the weekly Wednesday bread.

Our craft baker Friedrich Rauh surprised with a special bread creation: "Gimmer`s fairytale maltster master bread".

It’s a tribute to our longtime head maltster Josef Gimmer, who joyfully picked up "his" bread in the Weyermann® trial bakery.

In addition to the basic ingredients rye flour, wholemeal flour, water, sourdough, sea salt and yeast, the bread contains a composition of five different Weyermann® malts.

It is covered with sunflower seeds and a special finish: coming freshly baked from the oven, the breads are sprayed with Weyermann® beer to obtain their shiny crust with a very special aroma.
