Weyermann® Malts donates for African school meals

The whole Weyermann® team enjoys Christmas and the Christmas holidays surrounded by their loved ones. It is the time of contemplation, peace and happiness. Presents are unwrapped, delicious food is eaten and peaceful hours are spend with the family. Unfortunately this luck is not granted everyone. Worldwide there a lot of people who are not too well. For Weyermann® Malts it is therefore a matter of the heart to show social commitment.

Thus we are delighted about these pictures, which we received from Soni in Tanzania, Africa these days and which warm up the Weyermann® heart. There Weyermann® Malts has been contribution to the Tanzanian donation project of the abbey of Muensterschwarzach with a generous donation in order to provide 800 children of a full-time school – including 100 orphans - with lunch.

This summer the missionary Father Athanas Meixner from the abbey of Muensterschwarzach held a lecture on Tanzania in the historical Weyermann® canteen. The main reason for the poverty is the bad social position of the farmers and that their land is tainted by as well as the lack of management know-how. Thanks to the donation of Weyermann® Malts the school children in Soni can eat corn porridge and beans every day and small farmers around Soni can rely on a secure acceptance of their goods. We are happy about the great success and wish Father Meixner continued success with his project.
