It’s a wonderful story, which shows how the passion for beer can connect two nations.
Winnie Hsu, head brewer at Taihu Brewing in Taiwan has been a fan of Minoh Beer in Japan before she started working at Taihu Brewing. For a long time she had been longing to collaborate with the team at Minoh Beer and brew beer with them.
Kaori Oshita, president and head brewer at Minoh Beer, was thrilled with idea of bringing the best of both worlds together and stepping into unknown territory, by brewing a beer with unique raw materials.
With over 85 different specialty malts in its portfolio, the malts of the world market leader were ideal for Winnie Hsu and Kaori Oshita to implement their creative ideas. Thus the high quality malts of the specialty malts manufacturer in Bamberg were allowed to work their magic and bring color and flavor to the collaboration brew.
“We have learned so much – also from one another – and enjoyed spending time together!” the brew experts said afterwards.
