Weyermann® Malts at the Craft Brewers Powwow 2016 in South Africa
Recently Larissa Diesendorf, Weyermann® Export Coordinator and Key Account Assistant, was on tour in South Africa. There she took part at the first edition of the Craft Brewers Powwow – a fair all about beer – as Weyermann® ambassador.
The event was organized from Dematech Pty Ltd., our Weyermann® distribution partner for Africa (West, East and southern Africa).
In total 80 brewers/interested parties were there, among them also some loyal Weyermann® customers, who wanted to know more about the rapidly growing Craft Beer market of the country.
At a red and yellow Weyermann® stand Larissa Diesendorf informed all interested parties about the specialty malts of Weyermann® Malts.
As an exhibitor on-site was also the befriended Bamberg brewery manufacturer Kaspar Schulz, who equips many Weyermann® customers with brewing equipment.
Lectures – among others also from our longtime Weyermann® companion and renowned US beer journalist Horst Dornbusch – tastings, networking and much more were very well-received from the participants.
Following the fair Larissa Diesendorf, accompanied from Horst Dornbuch, went off to customer visits. Thus their journey led them to e.g. the Cape Brewing Company, the Urban Brewery, the Darling Brewery and to the Jack Black’s Brewing Company. We are happy that the trip to South Africa was such a huge success and wish our customers in South Africa continued “happy brewing” with Weyermann® Malts.
