Hello. My name is Richard Kappler and I am the head brewer at Brew It Up in Sacramento, CA. We use your Pilsner and Munich II malts in many of our beers. After trying Gambrinus, Briess and Durst, I have found your malts the most flavorable. Anyway, I will be traveling in Germany for a few weeks. I was wondering if it were
possible to tour your facility. I would love to see where your wonderful
product is produced and speak with those who create it. Hope to hear from you soon. Keep up the good work.

My name is Dale Weyermann. I am second generation American. Do you have any Weyermann brand logo products for my wall? Bags, labels, etc. I will pay shipping. If I plan a visit to Germany, and visit the Weyermann Malt facility, is there a tour I could go on? I worked at the hop research lab at Oregon State University as a student, and am now a homebrwer. I see that beer is in the Weyermenn DNA... Thank you - dale weyermann
Answer: Hello Dale,
Great to hear that there are even Weyermanns on the West cost being involved in the beer business! As far as I know none of my family members immigrated to the US. I just did the whole family research things going back as far as 1560.
Do you have any information where your family emigrated from, maybe the name of the town?
We will send you same gadgets from Bamberg and from Weyermann.
Keep on brewing great beers with the "family" ingredients!
Whenever you are coming to Bamberg, please let us know! The Weyermann doors are always open to welcome brewers!
Cheers Sabine

Weyermann at Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America(R), Austin, Texas - April 2007 -
Hello Thomas and Sabine! We have never formally met, but I have seen the two of you since you first began attending the Craft Brewers Conference and have been happily using several of your malts for the last 8 or 9 years. It is really nice to see such an enthusiastic company from Germany participating in the US craft brewing movement. In addition to having a really excellent selection of malts your company has wonderful marketing! The e-mail you sent me is a really nice way of sending a copy of Thomas’ presentation. I enjoyed reading how Weyermann malt first found its way into the US beer market.
While attending graduate school in Davis, California I worked for the Sudwerk brewery. One of the students in the Master Brewers Program named Adam Haughey who also spent some time at Sudwerk went to work at the brewery in Fredericksburg. I wonder if Adam was there when you visited back in 1994.
Cheers!
