By Tuk Tuk to Weyermann® Malt!
What an extraordinary journey: Our customer Ian Morris, Head Brewer at Electric Bear Brewing Co in Bath, United Kingdom, and his wife Jo Morris visited Weyermann® Malt in Bamberg together with their dog Kuba.
The three were travelling as part of their fundraising campaign “Tuk Tuk Adventure for Animal Aid.” Over the course of 16 days, their tuk-tuk journey took them through ten European countries: England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, and the Netherlands. Bamberg was one of the stops along their remarkable route.
Through their adventure, Ian Morris and Jo Morris raised funds for Animal Aid. Founded in 1977, the British organization promotes animal rights and respectful treatment of animals through educational initiatives, public campaigns, and political and legal advocacy. It also provides free school talks and workshops on animal rights topics throughout the United Kingdom.
During their stay in Bamberg, we welcomed Ian Morris and Jo Morris for a tour of our Bamberg specialty malt facility. Our Weyermann® International Malting & Brewing Expert Fedor Nikolashkin accompanied them and shared many insights into the red-and-yellow world of Weyermann® Malts.
We would like to sincerely thank Ian Morris and Jo Morris for their exceptional visit and for sharing the story behind their fundraising campaign. We wish them and Kuba many more wonderful adventures together in the future!
