Weyermann® Inside News: Apprentice excursion 2019
This week our youngest team members had the pleasure to join in on this year’s apprentice excursion accompanied from our Weyermann® instructors Stefan Hönig, Bettina Müller, Ramona Koch and Gerald Anders.
Read here the impressions of Tatjana Arnold, apprentice in her third year of training as industrial clerk:
“In the morning we were picked up by bus and brought to Pottenstein.
Our first stop was a dripstone cave. We got an interesting guided tour and were able to admire the ancient stalactites. We were particularly fascinated by how the stalactites and the cave itself were created. The cave was built in the last 2.5 million years and guided tours through the dripstone cave have been offered for almost 100 years.
Afterwards we went to the Mager brewery in Pottenstein. Mr. Mager was very pleased about the visit, as he has been a Weyermann® customer for many years. He gave us an insight into his brewery and afterwards we had a delicious lunch for the afternoon.
The highlight of the day for all of us was the visit to the summer toboggan run and the skywalk in Pottenstein.
Here we spent a few very nice hours and were able to exchange ideas with the new trainees and get to know each other.
It was especially nice that trainees from other plants, such as Hassfurt and Clingen, were also there, as we rarely see each other in our daily work.
In the evening we finished the exciting day at the Kronprinzen in Gaustadt.
During a delicious dinner we could exchange our experiences throughout the day."
The excursion was a wonderful community experience for all participants and offered the trainees the opportunity to make new contacts and friendships.
We would also like to thank the Mager brewery, the administration union “Teufelshöhle”, the “Pottenstein Erlebnisfelsen” team and the Craft Beer Restaurant Kronprinz, who made the apprenticeship trip a wonderful experience for everyone.
