Weyermann® customers win at the Great American Beer Festival 2016

60,000 attendees, 780 breweries in the festival hall, 1,752 breweries in the competition, 254 medal-winning breweries, 7,227 beers judged in 96 style categories and 264 judges from 12 different countries – the Great American Beer Festival 2016 was of great success!
Last week the festival took place in Denver, Colorado, and Denise Jones, Weyermann® distiller was our ambassador on-site.
During this three-day event the visitors were offered a comprehensive program ranging from lectures of renowned figures from the beer industry, beer and food pairings as well as tasting of beers from more than 50 exhibitors.
Highlight of the event was the beer specialties competition, where over 90 beer styles with several subcategories were assessed and awarded from beer judges. This year Denise Jones once more had the honor of putting her expertise as beer judge to the test.
We are happy that many loyal Weyermann® customers are among the winners, including Two Brothers Brewing Co., Breakside Brewery, Mother Earth Brew Co., Prost Brewing or also the Left Hand Brewing Co..
Every year Weyermann® Malts presents the winners with the ever popular red Weyermann® Jumpsuits, which they gladly wear when brewing beer. These always remind them that they won medals with their beer, brewed with the specialty malts of Weyermann® Malts. (with a 50 percent share).
