Weyermann® export ladies meet the Consul General of the Republic of India

Last Thursday the opening event of the German Indian Round Table (GIRT) of Upper Franconia took place at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Bayreuth, Germany, on the topic of "Market Entry India - Experiences & Challenges".
Larissa Diesendorf, Weyermann® Coordination Export, and Monika Schmitt, export clerk for China, India and Taiwan, were our ambassadors on-site.

After some words of welcome by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Upper Franconia and the initiators of the GIRT, Prof. Dr. Stefan Wengler and Prof. Dr. Torsten Kühlmann, Sugandh Rajaram, the Consul General of the Republic of India, gave a lecture on "Making middle class in India ". In further lectures the participants learned, which concrete practical experience medium-sized enterprises in India have made.

On the subject of "Market Entry India - Opportunities & Challenges", a lively discussion developed, which was further intensified from the participants in discussions during a buffet subsequently. "The event was a great opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with people from the business world and politics who have knowledge about India," says Monika Schmitt.

As a pioneer in the brewing industry, Weyermann® Malts has strongly influenced and encouraged the craft beer scene worldwide for decades. India is also one of the strongest growing craft beer markets, where good Weyermann® customers are already successfully brewing and baking with the specialty malts of the world market leader for specialty malts.

Therefore it was self-evident for us to be present at the opening event of the GIRT, so that we can continue to support the Indian craft beer scene with fresh input and new ideas.

Thanks to the team of GIRT for the invitation and to our Weyermann® ambassadors Larissa Diesendorf and Monika Schmitt for the wonderful representation of the world market leader for specialty malts.
