Weyermann® beers among the best of the world - World Beer Awards 2019

We have some wonderful news to kick off the new week: at this year´s World Beer Awards three Weyermann® beer specialties have been awarded!
Our Weyermann® Barley Wine was announced „World´s Best Dark Barley Wine“. Our Weyermann® Barrel Aged Barley Wine received gold in the subcategory „Wood Aged“ and our Weyermann® Maibock was awarded silver in the subcategory „Seasonal: Maibock/Helles“.
We are incredibly proud of our brewmaster Constantin Förtner and his team and are happy about the great success - congratulations!
Congrats also go to all our Weyermann® customers, who were able to take home one or more awards!
The World Beer Awards select the very best beers in all the international recognised styles.
Therefore an international jury of experts - our Weyermann® brewmaster Constantin Förnter and Weyermann® customer consultant Michael Wöß were part of the jury this year – evaluates over 3500 submitted beers from over 50 countries.
In the first of a total of three tasting sessions, the beers are awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals. In addition, country style winners are determined, based on which beer achieved the best results in a national comparison.
In the second tasting round, the country style winners are tasted against each other to identify the best beer in each style worldwide.
In the third and final tasting round, the winners in each style compete for the title World´s Best in one of the 9 categories.
