Despite a storm warning 12 Weyermann® employees went on a bike ride end of June, tracing the beers of Bamberg along 12 km path. At the end of the tour the employees including their family members got invited by the company’s management to a snack at the Greifenklau beergarden. On their 12 km way they passed the former brewery Maisel, Mahr´s, Keesmann, the Bamberg Malthouse, Spezial, Fässla, the former residence of company founder Johann Baptist Weyermann in an area called “Fischerei”, the Schlenkerla-brewery-pub, Ambräusianum, Klosterbräu, the brewery Schlenkerla, the former Mahr´s – cellar and the former Löwenbräu and the Wilde-Rose-Keller, the spot of the first Weyermann® production site in the street called Laurenzistraße in Greifenklau. The tour ended with a mountain standing at the “Stephansberg”. Michael Schilling, Weyermann® IT department and ADFC-member (a German bicycle club) was the organizer of this trip. All 12 participants were fit and managed well on their bicycles and got great new insights into the Beer-City of Bamberg. All together a great experience and valuable time with colleagues and friends.
